Spring from the dirt

  • Town Hall Collaborative 525 Santa Fe Drive Denver, CO, 80204 United States (map)

Gather for an evening of poetic storytelling as three Scribblers share tales of reckoning with the roots of religion and family structures.

We'll start with a half hour to get settled, grab a drink, and engage with a writing prompt, if you so choose.

Then, we'll roll into the poetry of it all, including the following features:

"Just Say It"

A poetic dialogue between siblings entangled in memory and miscommunication. It is about what’s said—and what’s left unsaid—in families that can’t help but twist the truth to survive it.

"A Final Hail Mary"

A woman confronts the holy voices that shaped her. This solo performance tears into religious guilt, identity, and survival—a fiery reclamation of voice and autonomy in the aftermath of religious indoctrination.

Plan for the evening

  • 5:30-6:00 — get settled, writing prompts

  • 6:00-7:00 — featured stories, break

  • 7:00-8:00 — open mic (sign up required, three minute limit)

This event is graciously hosted by Town Hall Collaborative.
